That’s the single most under-used signal on the page, given Google already shows it for LA searches 1,000+ times a month. The heading becomes short and LA-first; the second line keeps your voice (“deservedly selective”) and keeps Denver & Santa Fe visibly on the page — they also stay in the three city cards right below, which don’t change.

One LA Page: Merge /matchmaker-los-angeles/ Into the Homepage (301)

Two pages compete for the same “matchmaker Los Angeles” searches — this homepage and the standalone page at /matchmaker-los-angeles/. Google keeps switching between them: last month the standalone page slid to ~page 3 (85 impressions, 0 clicks) while the homepage reached page 1 (~position 5 in Los Angeles).

Proposed

The homepage becomes the one Los Angeles page. The standalone page’s best content moves here (the new “Why” section, the expanded 4-step process, the FAQ — all below), and /matchmaker-los-angeles/ is permanently redirected (301) to the homepage, so its links and history transfer instead of being lost.

Why: When two pages from one site answer the same search, Google splits the credit and both underperform — that’s exactly what our cannibalization audit found. Google has already picked the homepage as the winner (448 websites link to the homepage vs 3 to the standalone page — it was never a fair fight). We follow that choice and put all the weight behind one page. Nothing changes visually — we implement the redirect; approving this change approves the merge.

Schema: ProfessionalService + Person + FAQ

ProfessionalService + Person + FAQ schema — invisible markup added to the page’s HTML. It tells Google and AI assistants, in their own language: this is Julie Ferman’s matchmaking practice, its home market is Los Angeles (with Denver and Santa Fe), here is the real office, phone and founder — and here are the FAQ answers, quotable word-for-word.
